Registration
In order to register for classes, a UTC online student must have an Advisement code and a Secure ID.
Secure ID:
A Secure ID is mailed to every student once accepted.
If a Distance Learning or UTC Online student loses the Secure ID and your permanent physical address is less than 35 miles away from UTC, you must come to the UTC campus to receive your Secure ID. The offices allowed to distribute the Secure ID are Admissions, Records and Registration, Adult Services, the Graduate School, and the Office of International Student Services.
If a Distance Learning or UTC Online student loses the Secure ID and your permanent physical address is more than 35 miles away, the Secure ID will be mailed to that address. Mail a request to Beth Dodd or Tonya Botts at Continuing Education, 615 McCallie Ave. Dept. 5255, Chattanooga, TN 37403.
