Control Panel-Users and Groups-Users
The Users page lists all users in a Course and allows the Instructor to manage their setting in the Course. The Users page enables Instructors to change a user’s role within a Course and edit user Contacts. Instructors can also send an email to a user.

- Course Builder role has access to most areas of the Course Control Panel. This role is appropriate for a research assistant or to an assistant who has limited responsibilities, but should not have access to Student Grades.
- The Grader role has limited access to the Course Control Panel. Grader would assist the Instructor in the creation, management, delivery, and grading of Assessments and Surveys. Grader may also assist the Instructor with adding manual entries to the Online Grade Center.
- Instructors have access to all areas in the Course Control Panel. This role is generally given to the person developing, teaching or facilitating the class. If a Course is unavailable to Students, Instructors may still access it.
- Teaching Assistants have access to nearly everything in the Course Control Panel. If the Course is unavailable to Students, Teaching Assistants may still access the Course. Unlike the Instructor, the Teaching Assistant will not be listed in the Course Catalog listing for the Course.
