Critical Announcements:
- Instructors: Spring 2009 Classes Removed Feb 19, 2010
All Spring 2009 classes will be deleted from UTC Online on February 19, 2010. This removal does not affect Summer/Fall 2009 classes or any organizations you might be involved in, but only Spring 2009 classes. UTC Online suggests you keep a permanent record of the class ("Archive a Course") and a copy for reusing content in the future ("Export a Course"). - Browser Issue in Attaching Assignments and Uploading Grades
For Windows users using Chrome or Safari 4.x, there is an issue for students submitting an attached file using the Assignments tool and for instructors uploading grades using the Grade Center. Read more about this issue here.
- Illegal Characters in File Names Can Cause Inaccessible Files
Blackboard allows files with illegal characters in the file name to be submitted to the instructor; however, the instructor often cannot access such files. The fix in this case is for the student to rename the file without the illegal character(s) and resubmit it. Allowed characters in file names are as follows: A-Z, a-z, 0-9, a "-" (dash), and an "_" (underscore). Do not use file names containing the following characters: #, %, ), (, or &. Also, it is highly recommended that file names with spaces, $, and @ characters not be submitted.

Maintenance Schedule:
UTC Online server maintenance occurs nightly from 3:45-4:00am and also the second Friday of each month from 6:00-7:00am. The system may not be available during these times. Do not schedule tests or take tests during these times. A log of outages is kept here for reference.
